Grand Haven Department of Public Works officials say there has been a water main break on Washington Avenue, between Seventh Street and U.S. 31.

Water has been shut off in the 700 block of Washington, and it will be restored upon completion of repairs, hopefully by approximately 6 p.m.

Once the water is turned back on, there may be a slight discoloration of the water. Residents should run the water in the bathtub or utility sink to clear it.

How convenient for a water main break, just after they get the road surface removed.....

Can anyone say "backhoe"? This is not a left field comment about the 12 states that ban sodomy.
