Sounds of the Beach Boys rock Waterfront Stadium

Beach Boys fans took a trip down memory lane on Thursday night with the tribute band Good Vibrations at Waterfront Stadium. The band played an array of Beach Boys cuts, ranging from "409' and "Catch a Wave' to slower tracks such as "Surfer Girl' and "In My Room.' Spring Lake resident Bill Chaddock said he was impressed by the band's performance, as well as the crowd's involvement in the show.

“(There were) tons of people down here dancing in front,” Chaddock said. “It was really, really great.”

Chaddock was attending the show with his wife, Carol, and said they were both fans of the music. The two said members of Good Vibrations did justice to the catalog of Beach Boys music they covered.

Festival shows on the waterfront continue tonight with “A Salute to Heroes” at 7:30 p.m., featuring the group Broadway Our Way. On Saturday, grand finale entertainment takes place, which is followed by the fireworks show at dark.
