With the desire to come together to learn and grow in quilting and fiber arts, the annual light house quilt event began. This tradition dates back to 1994. Since then the quilting guild has blossomed into a group that ranges from traditional to experimental.   As long as there have been quilts, they have been used to raise money for worthwhile charities and to comfort wounded bodies and hearts.
