In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside to the school’s Field House and tickets will be required for attendance up until 6:45 p.m. A decision to move inside will be made by 2 p.m. Thursday. Parents should check the school district’s website (www.ghaps.org/ghhs) or listen to WGHN (92.1 FM) for this announcement.

The high school band will perform the processionals as well as a musical selection, “Phantom of the Opera.” Grand Haven Area Public Schools Superintendent Keith Konarska will offer his welcome, and GHHS Principal Scott Grimes will honor the Distinguished Academic Leaders by presenting them with medals for scholastic achievement.

Noah Thelen, senior class president, and Zachary Konarska, student senate member, will address the class. Alexandria Berry, Colin Pellgrom, Adam Poel and Amy Potter will present four GHHS teachers with a Class of 2011 Faculty Award. C.E. Sikkenga and Shirley Lemon will read the names of the graduates, and diplomas will be presented by members of the school board.
