The 10 positions will fill vacancies created by retirements and to meet the needs of all-day kindergarten, Superintendent Keith Konarska said.

Also Monday, the board voted to renew the shared director of operations position with Spring Lake Public Schools.

The new teachers:

— Ferry Elementary School will get two new fourth-grade teachers.

— Lake Hills Elementary School will see new teachers for first grade and fourth grade.

— Three fifth-grade and two sixth-grade teachers will be added to White Pines Middle School.

— Lakeshore Middle School will receive a new eighth-grade resource teacher.
