The team has many "green" projects going on at the school, which has earned the student organization the status of Emerald Green School.

The largest project is a student-led lunchtime recycling program. The students recycle most of their lunch garbage — including Styrofoam lunch trays, all plastics, juice pouches and containers.

The team works to recycle plastics, paper, cardboard, glue sticks, batteries and ink cartridges throughout the school. They also organize playground cleanup days and will be raising money to help the polar bears as they learn about global warming.
