Baccalaureate is a Christian service, which celebrates God’s presence in students’ lives. Ceremonies will take place in the coming week at Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Fruitport high schools.

“We’re so proud of all the students who are graduating,” said Randy White, executive director for First Priority of the Lakeshore. “We have awesome kids to work with. We’re really going to miss the seniors next year.”

Fruitport High School is hosting its Baccalaureate service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in the school's auditorium. Grand Haven High School seniors will celebrate their Baccalaureate, prior to graduation, at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 30, in the school’s Performing Arts Center. The Baccalaureate celebration for Spring Lake High School will also be held prior to graduation, at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Spring Lake Wesleyan Church, 15550 Cleveland St. in Spring Lake Township.

The services are open to the community.
