The lecture is being co-sponsored with the Loutit District Library and will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at the library, 407 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The speaker will be Alan Kehew, a professor of hydrochemistry and glacial geology at Western Michigan University.

Kehew's research interests lie in the area of hydrogeology and geomorphology, often emphasizing the environmental aspects of these fields. Within the general area of hydrogeology, his focus has been on the hydrogeochemical aspects of both contaminated and non-contaminated aquifer systems. During the past few years, he has become involved in mapping the glacial geology of selected areas of southern Michigan.
