Pets on parade

Ghouls and witches of the two- and four-footed variety are invited to gather at 1 p.m. Saturday at Harborfront Hospital for Animals, 807 W. Savidge St., to take part in a Halloween Pet Parade and Costume Contest.

Pet owners are invited to kick off the event by dancing to “Thriller” and “Monster Mash” as part of a Halloween-themed Jazzercise demonstration. There will also be a pet talent show with an award for the most talented pet as well as awards for: best overall costume, best “team” (owner/pet) costumes and most unusual costume.

A parade to Old Boys’ Brewhouse and back will follow.

Refreshments will be served and pets and children will go home with treat bags.

All pets should be on leashes or restrained.
