There is a Michigan-assembled TV

I have an update on last week’s answer about Michigan-made televisions:

Several readers informed me about Element TVs being assembled in Michigan.

Element is a Minneapolis, Minn., company that had a line of TVs made in China selling under the Element name at major retailers. About two years ago, the company opened a factory in Detroit to assemble its 46-inch flat-screen TV.

"Element Electronics are available at Target, Wal-Mart and Costco retail and/or online locations, and are sold on QVC," according to a press release from the company in March 2012.
