ANSWER:

Downtown Grand Haven shop owner Tonya Christiansen definitely allows canine friends in her store. In fact, her business — Must Love Dogs, 211 Washington Ave. — is all about dogs and their needs.

Christiansen and Dana Kollewehr, executive director of the Grand Haven Main Street Downtown Development Authority, said there a many more dog-friendly downtown stores. They typically don't mind dogs in their store as long as their tails don't knock over the merchandise.

"I ask them before coming in," Christiansen said.

It is important to note that dogs aren't allowed into restaurants or cafes because it's a Health Code violation.
