Trick-or-treat hours?

Kim of Grand Haven asked, "Are there unofficial, set trick-or-treat hours in the Tri-Cities?"

ANSWER:

The local municipalities have traditionally asked that both tricksters and treaters stick to between 6 and 8 on Halloween night.

In addition, the merchants of downtown Grand Haven and downtown Spring Lake both hand out candy to kids in costume from 4-6 p.m. In Spring Lake, participating merchants will have a big orange pumpkin in their front window.

There are no official trick or treat hours. As long as they feel it, then that is the hour. - Phillip Elden
