Yes, Grand Haven is now a much-Preferred auto sales territory.
Both Gage and Betten are now under the Preferred brand, joining the Ford dealership on South Beacon Boulevard that was formerly owned by the Redeker family.
"Tony Gage, owner of Gage Chevrolet and Chrysler, decided to move on to other things in his life and decided to sell," explained Bob Dunkelberger, general manager of Preferred Buick GMC, 1701 S. Beacon Blvd. "Joe and Amy Betten decided to take this opportunity to buy these dealerships to go along with the other dealerships they currently own."
Dunkelberger said the transaction was closed in early September.
