Another zombie for the state to take care of for the rest of his life. smh, wonder if he had the extra insurance rider they need to ride with no helmet. And how extremely stupid is that anyway? People don't watch out for them, see story above. Cap the cranium FGS.

Yay! You're back...

Just what a hurting family wants to read right now from you, as their loved one deals with multiple injuries from an accident that was clearly not his fault, of which any head injury is unknown.

No laws appear to have been broken by this motorcyclist, but not one question from you, if, the driver of the car was ticketed, texting, talking on the phone, wearing their seat belt or simply had their head up their bass like you do now. Cap the BigD…and I don’t mean Deal.

OOOh, Tricky Dyankee with the words
"Don't say that because it hurts"!
The dumas rider sans helmet
Bit the road, his face it met
Tender cranium protects the brain,
not a helmet, what a shame
Now he's in a hospital bed
Just damn lucky he's not dead!

Looks like multiple screw up here... from a biker.

#1 and most important, car cuts off bike... the number one worry of all bikers... with a deer out of nowhere being a close second.

#2 Chopper/modified bike, very poor handling and horrible braking ability. It's a free country ride what you like... never catch me on one.

#3 Braking only from the rear tire (only way on a chopper) and in the picture it appears to be bald, Never Ever neglect maintenance on a bike, it will kill you.

#4 Protective gear

Good luck getting better, hope you heal up and learn.
Really stupid car... not much smarter of a biker.

Why is it that the car driver did not see the headlight of the motorcycle at 9:15 at night? This does not speak well of the car driver.

My friend died in a similar crash on Robbins rd and mercury drive back in the early 70's. People need to pay attention!!

As a life-long rider of a two wheeled anything I could get my hands on I have learned you must expect and plan on people to do dumb things and be ready for it.
On several occasions I’ve interacted with work weary zombie people phone in one hand the other on the wheel while looking somewhere other than the traffic (ME) coming at them and once in a while they will turn and NEVER see me, my headlight is on all the time, I have amber lights on all the time as well, my bike is bright red, I wear bright red gear and helmet plus a bright kerchief that flaps in the wind and still some are involved in things more important than being safe.
Riders, we have the most to lose at the hands of idiots and the distracted so you must take the onus to keep yourself as safe as possible and as the old campaign said "Watch out for the other guy" in this case I do wonder if the Pontiac driver would get a failure to yield citation at a minimum but we were not there.
