Jamison Roubof, 46, was in stable condition at Holland Hospital following the 6:45 a.m. crash.

Police said Roubof was eastbound on Port Sheldon Road, fell asleep and his car went off the roadway east of 128th Avenue. It rolled over and struck a utility pole.

Olive Township firefighters extricated the man from his 2007 BMW. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Roubof was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

I had nothing to do with this one!

I nodded off just once while driving, I had nightmares about it for weeks...never happened since but I know how easy it can happen if you burn the candle at both ends and ignore your sleep debt.

Reminds me of the saying:

Why I die, I want to go like my grandfather - quietly in my sleep. Not like the two screaming passengers in his car.

Do they get citations for not wearing seat belts as well as an increase in insurance premuims?

Yes, in addition to fines for trespassing, creating a moving hotel without a permit, damage to sod and improper lane change….there is also a fee for all the questions the police asked called the information transfer and dialog fee.

Oh I get it, this is your take on humor. Damn, not so good; actually awful. Don't give up your day job and don't try so hard next time. Shirley you have better things to do than wasting precious and desperately needed brain cells on inane comments such as these. Did you get the Shirley - surely reference, this is real humor and an invitation for you to reply - "I know I'm not funny, and don't call me Shirley". See, this is how humor works.
