Police seek arsonist who burned vacant house

Fire investigators from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department have determined that the fire that destroyed a vacant home in Robinson Township late last week was an act of arson.

A passerby reported the fire at 10010 112th Ave. at about 4:30 a.m. Friday. Firefighters from several area departments put out the blaze, but the house was a total loss, said Capt. Mark Bennett of the Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone with information about who started the fire is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer at 877-88-SILENT, or leave a tip online at mosotips.com.
