The Kent County Sheriff's Department said the crash happened Wednesday night in Ada Township, near Grand Rapids. Police identified the victim as Jeffery Dykehouse of Grand Rapids.

Police said Steven F. Jones, 61, was held overnight at the Kent County Jail on suspicion of drunken driving, then released. There's no listed phone number for Jones, and he couldn't be reached for comment.

Family members said Jones is from the unincorporated Newaygo County community of Bitely, and stays with a brother and sister-in-law in Ada during the work week.

deuce liti

I truly believe that if you are arrested for drunk driving you should never be allowed to drive again.

If you are caught again then it should be life in prison.

Worthless and useless alcoholics. Down to the last drop.

life in prison is way to good for a person who murdered an other person willingly using a vehicle as a weapon while driving drunk. 2 extreme crimes just to begin with and causing death of an innocent. The victim is dead forever!!! Why then should the rest of us have to pay for the life long incarceration of the criminal while their victim is dead and their life ended violently by the scumbag. Please let/mandate the criminal join his victim that they'd killed! Problem solved as that's true justice!

What I don't understand is why drinkers don't simply drink at home. It's safer and far cheaper.
