A forensic autopsy conducted on the body by Ottawa County’s chief medical examiner on Monday indicated there were no trauma injuries or other means of death noted, other than accidental drowning, said Capt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

The body was found by kayakers in the river at Jenison.

Bennett said detectives are working on some leads in the case, but they have yet to confirm the identity of the body as of press time Monday. The case remains open.
