Patrick Walton suffered serious injuries and an ambulance transported him to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids after the 3:12 p.m. crash.

Walton was not wearing a helmet, said Sgt. John Wolffis of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.

Walton was traveling through the intersection of 32nd and Highland streets when a 2007 Nissan Versa turned into his path, police said.

The driver of the car, Karen Minner, 50, of Grand Rapids, was not injured.

Once again the car driver is the one that was wrong but it was the motorcycle rider that was the one that was hurt. How could she not see the bright headlight of the motorcycle?
