An officer inside the building heard glass breaking at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday. He observed the damage and alerted fellow officers.

A possible suspect was observed running from the area. Police chased him on foot and took him into custody.

The suspect was interviewed and admitted to throwing the rock, said t. Joe Boyle. Video surveillance also captured the incident.

The man was lodged at the Ottawa County Jail and faces a possible charge of malicious destruction of police/fire property — a felony.

I sure hope alcohol was a factor. I'd hate to think someone that age and sober could be that freakin' stupid.

Now that Missouri riot stuff is heading this way. But 31 years old? I would expect that behavior from a teenager.
