Alleged Grand Haven auto dealer embezzler waives Circuit Court arraignment

A Muskegon woman charged with embezzling from a Grand Haven auto dealership has waived her Ottawa County Circuit Court arraignment and a trial date has been set. Amy Ruth Barnes-Trusty, 38, 1260 Cardinal Circle Drive, has a pre-trial conference set for May 23. A jury trial has been scheduled for June 8.

Barnes-Trusty is accused of embezzling between $50,000 and $100,000 from Gage Motor Mall, 1701 S. Beacon Blvd., between November 2008 and February of this year, according to Lt. Renee Freeman of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety. She was office manager for the dealership at the time.

Barnes-Trusty is free on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
