Body found on Lake Mich. shore near Montague

The body of a missing Montague-area man was found on the shore of Lake Michigan at around 10:30 a.m. Monday. Police used a driver's license to identify the body of Allen Morey, 71, of White River Township. Dive teams had spent several days in March searching for Morey, who they believe had jumped into the White River channel. Morey's body was found about 3 miles south of that location, near the 3700 block of Scenic Drive in Fruitland Township, just south of Duck Lake State Park.
