Holland Township teen injured after rolling car

An 18-year-old Holland Township man was hospitalized after rolling his car Saturday evening while trying to avoid a driver in his lane of traffic, police said. Alex Thik was driving his 1995 Honda Civic south on 112th Avenue north of New Holland Street when a northbound white vehicle entered his lane, said Ottawa County Sheriff's Sgt. Brian Buter. Witnesses told police that Thik swerved his car to avoid the vehicle and lost control on the gravel shoulder, rolling his car several times.

Thik was taken to Holland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Buter said. A condition update was not available at press time.

The white vehicle, which was not struck in the accident, continued north, Buter said. The driver, make and model are unknown, he added.
