SL woman sentenced in deadly crash

A Spring Lake woman who investigators said caused a deadly crash last year will spend up to 28 years in prison. Kristine Wahmhoff, 39, entered a no-contest plea last month. The charges included drunk driving, causing death; and driving without a license. Police said Wahmhoff was speeding when she lost control and rolled off northbound U.S. 31, near Russell Road in Muskegon County, in October 2010. A passenger in her car, Guadalupe Hernandez, died when she was thrown from the car.
