A 19-year-old man pleaded guilty Monday to sexually assaulting a 4-year old girl in the Grand Rapids suburb of Wyoming.
Christopher Shortsle was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct; but, under the deal, he pleaded guilty to a second-degree offense.
Part of the agreement calls for a minimum sentence of 1-2 years in prison. He will find out his sentence next month.
Prosecutors said Shortsle is related to the victim’s mother, and police said the assault took place at her house in Wyoming.
