GH Twp. rescues man who collapsed while jogging on beach

The Grand Haven Township Fire-Rescue Department responded to Rosy Mound Natural Area at about 2 p.m. Saturday to help a man who had collapsed while running. Grand Haven Township Fire Chief Tom Gerencer said the 53-year-old victim was running in the area when he collapsed near a wooden stairway. The man was accompanied by another individual, who performed CPR until rescuers arrived. At about 2:30 p.m., off-road vehicles from the fire department brought medical personnel to the scene, who performed CPR on the victim.
