Motorcyclist injured in Ferrysburg accident

A 43-year-old Spring Lake man was injured Monday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a sport utility vehicle in Ferrysburg. The Spring Lake/Ferrysburg Police Department said Grand Haven resident Phyllis Blake, 79, was driving north on 174th Avenue when she turned left into the Leppink's plaza and into the path of Scott Anderson, who was riding his motorcycle.

Police said Anderson received “incapacitating injuries” and he was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for treatment. Blake was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
