Muskegon police seek suspect in May 27 shooting

Muskegon police are asking for the public's help in locating a 29-year-old Muskegon man wanted for questioning in a shooting. Police said the suspect, Ricky Meeks, is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He also goes by the nickname "Mel C.' Police said Meeks shot Germaine Buchanan, 29, in the abdomen on May 27 in the 400 block of Isabella Avenue in Muskegon. Buchanan remains hospitalized at Hackley Hospital and is listed in fair condition as of this morning, according to a hospital official.
