Investigators said the semi, driven by 23-year-old Amrit Mundy of Brampton, Ontario, was southbound when he failed to stop for the light at Quincy Street. A sport utility vehicle driven by 67-year-old Ron Sisouphone of Zeeland pulled out into the intersection, and was hit by the semi, police said. Deputies said the semi's trailer ran over the SUV.

Holland Township firefighters freed Sisouphone and his two passengers from the SUV.  The passengers were 73-year-old Vvee Pheuak and 85-year-old Chomma Vongmathep -- both of Zeeland.  Investigators said all three men are at Holland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Mundy was not injured in the collision, police said.
