Ferrysburg vandalism suspects sought by police

Police are looking for information on vandalism that occurred between 8 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday on a stretch of West Spring Lake Road near the Spring Lake Yacht Club. Spring Lake/Ferrysburg police are looking for information on who spray-painted bike path signs, the path itself, a residence's overhead garage door, and a retaining wall at the intersection of Landing Drive and West Spring Lake Road. The damage was discovered by a Ferrysburg Department of Public Works employee early Tuesday morning, police said.

Most of the signs were tagged with the letters “FSS,” and police said they found a red cup with the words “Alex + My Girl Nicki = Love” written on it near one of the vandalized signs.

Police said they believe the suspects were walking north and east on West Spring Lake Road toward the border of Ferrysburg and Spring Lake Township.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Spring Lake/Ferrysburg Police Department at 842-1889 or Silent Observer at 1-877-887-4536.
