Muskegon man questioned about shooting

A 24-year-old Muskegon man wanted on several felony warrants was arrested early Monday morning by police responding to a domestic assault complaint. Ja'Anthony Harris is wanted on three felony warrants for firearms violations and a misdemeanor warrant for assault, according to Muskegon Police Department Capt. Andrew Olson. Harris is also wanted for questioning about a homicide that occurred Aug. 9, 2010, on the 1600 block of Dyson Street, Olson said.

Police found Harris hiding inside a home in that same area at about 2 a.m. Monday when they responded to a domestic assault complaint, Olson said. After talking to the homeowner, who is a relative of Harris, police were given permission to search the home and found Harris hiding in the basement.

Harris was arrested without incident on the outstanding warrants and was lodged in the Muskegon County Jail.
