Authorities in Muskegon have found the body of a 16-year-old boy who was missing in the Muskegon River’s North Channel about three hours after he jumped off a railway trestle.
The body of Richard Grimmett was found Sunday evening. Authorities said friends of the Reeths-Puffer High School student noticed he was struggling and two jumped into the water in a failed rescue attempt.
The group of teens had been jumping into the river from the trestle.
