Alcohol was a factor when a young woman ran a stop sign and hit the bedroom wall of an Ottawa County couple's home, said Sgt. Brian Buter of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.
The accident happened around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 5200 block of Eighth Avenue in Georgetown Township.
The woman was driving a 2005 Chevy Equinox west on Barry Street when she failed to stop at the intersection where Barry ends at Eighth Avenue, Buter said. The woman, who is in her 20s, drove the sport utility vehicle across the lawn of a home and the SUV hit the bedroom wall.
