Five injured in Holland crash on Sunday

A Grand Rapids woman and four others in her car are all recovering after an accident Sunday afternoon. Police officers in Holland said the 35-year-old woman's car rolled over on westbound Interstate 196 near mile marker 47 around 1 p.m. Besides the driver, a 45-year-old man, two girls ages 12 and 9, and a 14 year old boy were in the car. They were all wearing seatbelts when the crash happened. None of them suffered serious injuries. Police said they were all able to crawl out of the car after the crash.

Witnesses told officers the SUV tried to change lanes and nearly hit another car.  The driver over-corrected and the car skidded off the road and turned over.
