Police seek woman who fled Holland with her kids

Police are searching for a woman who they say failed to turn over custody of her two children to their father at the Holland Department of Public Safety. Investigators said Wendi Carpenter had visitation with her daughter and son over the summer months and, by court order, was supposed to meet the children's father Tuesday at the public safety headquarters. When Carpenter failed to show up at the designated time and place, police began investigating. Police said they now believe Carpenter fled the state with the children.
