Man accused of breaking into GHT apartment office

A 35-year-old Grand Haven Township resident has been arrested after allegedly breaking into an office and stealing from its safe. Police said the incident occurred shortly before 4 a.m. Monday at the Grand Haven Club Apartments, 14868 Lakeshore Drive. When employees reported to work at 9 a.m., they noticed the office and safe had been compromised, police said. Investigators from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said they located the male suspect on Tuesday after investigating and locating the suspect's vehicle.

About $27,000 worth of property was on the suspect, police said.

The suspect is being held at the Ottawa County Jail. His name is being withheld prior to arraignment on felony charges of safe breaking and breaking and entering of a business.
