Muskegon man injured in motorcycle accident in GH

A 22-year-old Muskegon man suffered a collarbone and shoulder injury when he dumped his motorcycle at noon Thursday in Grand Haven. Derek Eek was driving his motorcycle west on Robbins Road and making a turn into the D&W plaza, when he apparently braked too hard and lost control, said Sgt. Randy Poel of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety. Police officers already on the scene of a medical at nearby Robbinswood Living Center walked across the parking lot to help the injured Eek.

Eek was taken by ambulance to North Ottawa Community Hospital. Poel said he expected the man was treated and released.
