Police arrest suspect in Norton Shores robbery

Police have arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of a Norton Shores store earlier this summer. Based on tips from the community, Norton Shores Police Sgt. James Campbell obtained a search warrant from the Muskegon Prosecutor's Office for a home in the 900 block of Irwin in Muskegon for the suspect. With the assistance of the West Michigan Enforcement Team and the Muskegon Police Department, Norton Shores officers executed the search warrant at approximately 11 a.m. Friday. A 27-year-old Muskegon man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

Norton Shores Police said investigators will be seeking charges against the man related to the July 31 robbery of Strevel’s Market, 6979 Grand Haven Road.
