Juveniles connected to Holland-area larcenies

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department has connected some juveniles with a series of thefts from motor vehicles in Holland and Park townships, said Sgt. Brent Converse of the Holland/Park Township Community Policing Unit. Some stolen merchandise has been returned to its owners, Converse said. Police also have some items - such as glasses, sunglasses, jewelry and shoes - that were not reported stolen. Anyone who may be missing these items is asked to contact the Sheriff's Department and file a report.

Converse said the items were taken prior to Sept. 16 from vehicles in neighborhoods along 142nd Avenue, between Quincy and Riley streets, and on Riley from 144th to 152nd Avenue.

The names of the juveniles connected to the thefts will not be released, Converse said, and the investigation is continuing.
