Man threatens to shoot 2 Ottawa County deputies

A 60-year-old man faces felonious assault charges after threatening to shoot two Ottawa County deputies on Thursday. Police were called to the 4300 block of Heritage Drive in Georgetown Township shortly before 7:30 p.m. on a complaint that a resident was assaulted over a parked vehicle. When the two deputies approached the suspect's residence, the man pulled a gun on the deputies and threatened to shoot them.

Sgt. Keith Garvelink of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect and gun were taken into custody a short time later, and no one was injured.
