The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence in the 9500 block of 104th Avenue shortly after 12:30 a.m. today on a stabbing complaint, said Sgt. Keith Garvelink.

They arrived to find the victim, whom they declined to name, with a stab wound to the neck. The man was taken by ambulance to Holland Hospital, Garvelink said.

The 28-year-old suspect was found outside the residence and was taken into custody, Garvelink said. The suspect was lodge at the Ottawa County Jail. His name was not released pending arraignment on felony assault charges.

Garvelink said the assault occurred during a dispute between the two men at the residence where they both lived.
