Suspicious death investigated in Muskegon

Police are investigating what they are calling the suspicious death of a Muskegon resident.

Police were called to a home in the 100 block of Allen Avenue about 10:45 p.m. Friday to check the well-being of a female resident, according to Sgt. Jerry Ziegler of the Muskegon Police Department. Officers found the body of a 37-year-old female inside the resident, police said.

The cause of death is yet to be determined, but police are calling it suspicious, officials said. A suspect is in custody.

The investigation is continuing.
