The accident happened around 3:10 p.m. in the 5200 block of Port Sheldon Street, where investigators say hail was falling.

Police said as a result of the hail, the bus ran into the rear of a garbage truck, injuring one of the passengers of the bus. Two other vehicles failed to stop in time, causing a chain-reaction crash behind the bus.

The bus passenger, as well as three injured teens in one of the cars, were taken to area hospitals. Deputies said their injuries were minor.
