Muskegon woman killed in collision with semi

MUSKEGON - A 62-year-old Muskegon woman was killed Friday morning when the minivan she was riding in was struck in the rear by a semitrailer truck at Hoyt Street and Laketon Avenue.

Rosemary Evans, who was ejected from the van, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other passengers were also injured in the 9:10 a.m. crash — Tawana Morris, 42, of Muskegon; and Jmiah Evans-Selmon, 2, also of Muskegon. Both were listed at a local hospital in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the van has been identified as Lateashia Evans-Selmon, 35, of Muskegon. She was treated at the scene, police said.

Harry Jones, 41, of Warren, was driving the semi and was not injured.
