Holland man dies from Nov. 1 accident injuries

Richard Cook, 75, died Friday of serious injuries suffered in the Nov. 1 accident at the intersection of 88th Avenue and Ransom Street, said Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. Cook was a passenger in a car driven by Maureen Cook, 76, also of Holland.

Austin said Maureen Cook was driving west on Ransom Street, stopped at a stop sign, then proceeded into the intersection into the path of another vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation.
