Michigan conservation officer Angie Greenway said she recently discovered a nine-point buck shot at an oversized bait pile. She knocked at the home and was greeted by a man who explained that his mother pulled the trigger.
But his mom provided very little information. The story soon changed when the officer explained that jail and a fine could be the consequences of shooting a deer out of season.
The son stepped forward and admitted that he had killed the deer. A records check showed he is an ex-convict who can’t possess guns.
