A hearing set for Wednesday in federal court in Grand Rapids was canceled. Reed Berry is charged with assault.

The FBI said he almost crashed into an agent’s car two days before the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Authorities said they were watching the St. Joseph resident because they believed he was using the Internet to contact terrorist groups.

Berry hasn’t been charged with terror-related crimes.
