Intruder attempts to break into home

Police are investigating the attempted break-in early today of a home in Georgetown Township.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said the incident happened at 1:30 a.m. at the 300 block of Stonehenge. Police were called when the homeowner heard an intruder attempting to forcibly make their way into the house.

Upon arriving at the home, deputies found the suspect made access to a breezeway and attempted to forcibly enter the home by kicking in a door, police said.
Police said the suspect fled before deputies arrived, and a subsequent search of the area located no suspects.
