West Mich. man dies after fall from Fla. hotel balcony

Investigators said 22-year-old Aaron Scott Thompson, who was visiting from Kalamazoo, attempted to climb down the outside railing of the hotel balcony when he slipped and fell.

The News Herald of Panama City reported that a hotel security guard had talked to Thompson before Thompson began climbing the outside of the building.

Investigators are awaiting an official medical examiner’s report, but they said it appears the death was accidental.
