Police said Anthony Hoffner, 54, was walking on Sherman Boulevard near Henry Street when he was struck. Hoffner died from his injuries.
The Muskegon Police Department is waiting on toxicology reports on Hoffner.
The driver of the car was not hurt, and police said there are no plans to file any charges.
